Stories Beyond Imagination

Visual Effects students learn the fundamentals of storytelling, storyboarding, and animation at FMS. They get to create dramatic settings with industry-standard software often used by top Hollywood studios such as NUKE, Maya and Zbrush.

Creating Magic in Motion

Visual Effects is the science to generate and create content that is Sci-Fi and also impossible in natural behaviour. Be it a spaceship, an explosion or a tsunami disaster, an extensive knowledge of Computer-Genrated Images (CGI) is required, as well as the composition of the enviroment and subjects together so as to give that realistic appearance.

By making use of the green screen, we can virtually add any background or foreground CGI graphics and animation. Since green is the furthest from the human skin colour, all we need is to key out the green, perform some magic (CGI) and place them together for illusion that appeals to the audience.

#VFXStories

Everyone's your friend in vfx, except when it comes to the lovely rendering times during a project. your friend starts becoming your nemesis, and you decide to turn things around so you can render your work out before them. and in this case, desktops were turned around.

VFX has helped me grow as an artist, be it through traditional or digital mediums. I also got to try and explore things that I never thought I'd get into – sculpting, compositing, 3D modelling. It's just the best feeling when you've finally completed a piece of work and it looks brilliant, when all that hard work has paid off, when people go 'Wow!'
