The FMS Stories Experience is best viewed in Landscape!
Persuasive Stories hosts an array of innovative ideas from Advertising & Public Relations (APR) and Mass Communication (MCM) students undertaking different modules, but delivering content of the same high quality.
Through the Capstone Project, APR students build on their skills and foundation by creating an integrated marketing campaign for real clients. The students work as an agency to incorporate a variety of communication platforms to achieve the optimum results in the marketplace. After the Capstone Project, APR students gain real-world exposure by interning at award winning agencies, such as TBWA, Dentsu Aegis Network, Weber Shandwick, and Ogilvy & Mather. From diving headfirst into market trends to devising campaign-winning strategies, APR students are geared with the right skills that give them an edge in the industry.
Mass Communication students also get a taste of working for a real client through Advanced Advertising and Events Management, two electives offered during their final year. With Advanced Advertising, students translate actual marketing briefs into a campaign pitch and proposal. To simulate the competitive rigour of the advertising industry, Advanced Advertising students are split into different agencies and face an elimination round before they are given the chance to pitch to the client.
Students taking the Events Management elective are trained to plan and manage events that are relevant to advertising, public relations, and mass communications. Depending on their partnership with a client, Events Management students are tasked to create events such as sports, community outreach, or promotional events.
